Veronica Macedo out, promotion seeks new opponent for Lina Lansberg at UFC Fight Night 107
The UFC’s return to England is less than three weeks away, and the promotion is in search of a new opponent for Lina Lansberg. Veronica Macedo (5-1-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) is out of her women’s bantamweight fight against Lansberg (6-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 107, and the promotion will hope to find a suitable replacement foe in time for the fight. A promotion official confirmed the news to MMAjunkie today.

Retiring legend Brad Pickett loses UFC London opponent as Henry Briones pulls out of fight
Pickett’s return to London is meant to be the Brit’s final appearance in MMA after a long career as one of the UK’s biggest stars. Briones and Pickett have been scheduled to fight twice previously and this will be the third time the Mexican has been forced to cancel the contest.

James Vick gets another home Texas fight, meets Marco Polo Reyes at UFC 211
The UFC’s return to Dallas in the spring has yet another fight set for a jam-packed lineup. James Vick (10-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) will get his wish to fight in his home state of Texas when he takes on Marco Polo Reyes (7-3 MMA, 3-0 UFC) in a lightweight bout at UFC 211. The UFC recently made the new booking official. UFC 211 takes place May 13 at American Airlines Center in Dallas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass, though the bout order hasn’t been finalized.

Mackenzie Dern unable to make contracted weight, LFA fight changed to catchweight
Mackenzie Dern’s weight issues have cropped up again. For the second straight fight, Dern was unable to make the contracted strawweight weight class. On Thursday, Dern could not get down to the 116-pound division maximum for her Legacy Fighting Alliance 6 fight against Katherine Roy, so the bout was changed to a 120-pound catchweight prior to her stepping on the scale, LFA president Ed Soares told MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani.

California proposes increase in fine for fighters who miss weight
The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) is continuing its efforts to combat extreme weight cutting. Next week, the commission will vote on a measure that would increase fines for fighters who miss weight, per CSAC meeting documents.

Frankie Edgar vs. Yair Rodriguez added to UFC 211
It’ll be a legend versus a future star in Texas. Frankie Edgar, the former UFC lightweight champion, will return to the Octagon against top prospect Yair Rodriguez in a featherweight fight at UFC 211 on May 13 in Dallas, the UFC announced Thursday via its UFC Español Twitter account.

Joe Lauzon to face Stevie Ray at UFC Fight Night 108 in Nashville
Joe Lauzon isn't wasting any time returning the Octagon. Lauzon will fight for the second time this year when he squares off against Stevie Ray in a lightweight contest at UFC Fight Night 108 on April 22 in Nashville. The UFC announced the fight Wednesday.

Video: Fighters attacked, bottles and chairs thrown as mass brawl erupts at UK MMA show
The Liverpool Echo reported that two people were taken to hospital in the aftermath of a chaotic brawl that broke out at the Great Georges Cultural Community Project, aka The Black-E, in Liverpool, England on March 4th. Video footage secured by the Echo shows two MMA fighters in the ring. Seconds later an individual enters through the ropes and appears to strike one of the competitors. As a result, more people enter the ring and begin to fight. Numerous objects are then thrown towards the growing fracas. According to the Echo the brawl might have started due to a dispute over the use of elbows during the preceding MMA fight.

Daniel Cormier not thrilled to find himself being dwarfed by Anthony Johnson on UFC 210 poster
Daniel Cormier’s light heavyweight title defense against Anthony Johnson is exactly one month away, and the champ is already feeling the shade being thrown at him. As in, he appears two times smaller than the challenger Johnson on the official UFC 210 promo poster. On the poster, Johnson, cast in red hues, is the entire backdrop mashing his fists while the champion Cormier is in lighted focus below. Cormier put out a message on his Instragram asking how many favors Johnson had to call in to be the hulking figure in the scenario.

Henry Cejudo vs. Sergio Pettis added to UFC 211 in Dallas
A flyweight fight pitting top-ranked fighters Henry Cejudo and Sergio Pettis has been added to UFC 211. The news was first reported on Tuesday by ESPN’s Brett Okamoto and was later announced by the UFC. Cejudo is returning to the Octagon following a controversial split-decision loss to Joseph Benavidez back in December at The Ultimate Fighter 24 Finale. The loss to Benavidez marked the second defeat for the Olympic wrestler, as Cejudo had lost to the Demetrious Johnson in a title fight at UFC 197. The 30-year-old fighter is currently ranked second in the division and holds a professional MMA record of 10-2.

Donavon Frelow replaces Timur Valiev against Bekbulat Magomedov in WSOF bantamweight title fight
World Series of Fighting has to shuffle one of three title fights on its next card. Timur Valiev is injured and out of his fight against Bekbulat Magomedov for the vacant WSOF bantamweight title at WSOF 35 on March 18 in Verona, N.Y., the promotion announced Tuesday. Former top flyweight contender Donavon Frelow will replace Valiev. The WSOF bantamweight title was recently vacated by Marlon Moraes, who is a free agent and is expected to sign with the UFC.

David Branch vs. Krzysztof Jotko targeted for UFC 211
David Branch’s return to the UFC is inching closer. According to multiple sources, Branch is slated to face Krzysztof Jotko at UFC 211 on May 13 in Dallas. Branch (20-3), the former World Series of Fighting light heavyweight and middleweight champion, returns to the UFC on a ten-fight winning streak. He recently parted ways with WSOF after an an undisclosed issue with the promotion, which occurred before and after his New Year’s Eve win over Louis Taylor. The New York-native left the UFC in 2011 after going 2-2 inside the Octagon. Since then, he’s won 12 of 13 fights, with his lone loss coming against Anthony Johnson in 2012.

Rothwell provisionally suspended by USADA for potential anti-doping violation
#5 ranked UFC heavyweight Ben Rothwell was scheduled to fight Fabricio Werdum at the mighty UFC 211 in May. Unfortunately, the fight is presumably off, as Rothwell, 35, is provisionally suspended by USADA.

Eddie Alvarez vs. Dustin Poirier verbally agreed for UFC 211
An already strong UFC 211 card in Dallas is close to adding another barnburner of a fight. Former UFC and Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier have verbally agreed to meet on the May 13 card. MMAFighting.com confirmed an initial report Tuesday by ESPN.

Bellator’s Anastasia Yankova returns to action in April
Bellator prospect Anastasia Yankova is gearing up for a return. The Russian-born Yankova is scheduled to fight Elina Kallionidou at Bellator 176 in Torino, Italy on April 8, MMA Fighting recently confirmed with Bellator officials. The fight will take place at a 130-pound catchweight.

Georges St-Pierre 'formally' offered Anderson Silva just once in past, still open to fight
Georges St-Pierre said a showdown with fellow former longtime UFC champion Anderson Silva is still very much a possibility. St-Pierre (25-2 MMA, 19-2 UFC), who makes his long-awaited return to the octagon when he challenges titleholder Michael Bisping for the UFC middleweight title later this year, is back from a more than three-year hiatus, and he has a number of potential fight options available.

UFC Fight Night 106 will proceed with 12 fights, as Godofredo Pepey vs. Kyle Bochniak was canceled five days before the event in Fortaleza, Brazil. The UFC announced on Monday that both featherweights sustained injuries that forced them out of the March 11 card.

Ex-UFC fighters Milana Dudieva, Kelly Faszholz sign with Invicta FC
A pair of UFC veterans are heading to Invicta FC. Kelly Faszholz and Milana Dudieva have both signed deals with Invicta, the promotion announced Monday. Both were recently removed from the UFC roster. Faszholz (3-2) had a Fight of the Night performance in her UFC debut, a loss to Lauren Murphy, in February 2016, but was not brought back after falling to Ketlen Vieira by split decision in October. The 31-year-old California native is still a promising talent in the women’s bantamweight division.

Demetrious Johnson vs. Wilson Reis, ‘Jacare' Souza vs. Robert Whittaker set for UFC on FOX 24
The UFC has added a pair of big fights for the upcoming card on FOX. Scheduled for April 15 in Kansas City, UFC on FOX 24 will be headlined by flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson against Wilson Reis.
