ROAD FC Middleweight Champion Riki Fukuda faces Cha Jung-Hwan at ROAD FC 028
Riki Fukuda cut a clear path to the ROAD FC Middleweight Championship in 2014 and 2015. The consummate UFC veteran dispatched all comers to end up on a 4-fight win streak of finishes. Earning the championship belt meant earning a 6-figure paycheck as well, and fans can bet that Riki isn’t willing to relinquish either anytime soon. His grinding aggression will surely be turned up a notch as he meets an unlikely – and tricky – first challenger in Cha Jung-Hwan.

Khabib plans to return in March, open to Dos Anjos title fight in Brazil
With the two-year layoff mark quickly approaching, Khabib Nurmagomedov is itching to return to the Octagon. The talented UFC lightweight suffered his third consecutive injury several months ago and was forced out of a highly anticipated match-up against Tony Ferguson. However, unlike his previous two knee injures, this one was a broken rib. Khabib, whose last fight was a unanimous decision victory against current UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos, even contemplated retirement following his latest injury. Instead, he set a timetable for his return and is already maneuvering for a title shot following the champ's 66-second TKO against Donald Cerrone at UFC on FOX 17.

Meet Martin Svensson, who never lost on 'TUF 22,' made weight but didn't fight at finale
History will remember grappling wizard Ryan Hall as the winner of “The Ultimate Fighter 22,” but there was only one fighter on that show that never lost a fight, and while he was in Las Vegas – and on weight – for the show’s live finale, he’ll have to wait until February to make his UFC debut. “It was bittersweet,” Martin Svensson told MMAjunkie. “You don’t ever really hope that anyone else gets injured or pulls out of their fights, and I never really did. But it was tricky. It was a fun experience, but at the same time it was very hard emotionally. It was a lot of ups and downs.” Svensson is a 30-year-old Swedish prospect who earned a spot on the recently aired “TUF 22” series, scoring a decision win over Mohamed Gabinski in the tournament’s preliminary round to earn his way into the “TUF” house. He then scored a second-round submission win over Thanh Le to set up a quarterfinal bout with eventual finalist Artem Lobov, who had lost in the preliminary round but was brought back into the field by his training partner and “TUF” coach Conor McGregor. Unfortunately, Svensson suffered a broken elbow in the Le fight and was forced to withdraw from the tournament.
