Fedor Emelianenko: Fight with Randy Couture “Will Take Place”
Randy Couture wants the fight. Fedor Emeliananeko wants it too. And according to the top-ranked Russian fighter, he fully expects the heavyweight battle to happen sometime soon. While being interviewed for Monday’s “Yarennoka!” event in Japan, Emeliananeko was asked about the likelihood of him facing Couture in the next year. Couture, the UFC’s heavyweight champion, resigned from the organization in October but has recently stated that he wants to fight Emeliananeko. The 44-year-old UFC hall-of-famer says it’s the one final thing he wants to accomplish before he retires. Emelianenko loves the idea. Not too much new here, just more to support that this fight will indeed take place post Oct of this year. Maybe another Yarranoka style event on New Years Eve with Randy/Fedor headlining?? If they do get these two together this time it will happen in the US so we don't have to stay up all night to watch it

K-1 Fighters Get Ready for New Year's Eve
OSAKA, December 30, 2007 -- When Alfred Tennyson wrote "ring out the old, ring in the new," the English poet was referring to the pealing of church bells to mark the beginning of a new year. It is also a Japanese tradition to strike the temple bell on December 31, but these days Tennyson's phrase could just as easily be applied to the ringside bell at the Dynamite!! New Year's Eve fightsport extravaganza. Over the last five years, K-1 Premium Dynamite!! has become one of the most widely-watched television productions in Japan, with estimates of up to 30 million viewers. This is fightsport entertainment for the entire family, and tomorrow's lineup is designed for maximum appeal. The evening's 15 fights will feature wily veterans and wide-eyed teens; popular television "tarento" and foreign behemoths; and yes, more than a few match ups aimed at martial arts purists.

Rampage being sued for $10 Million
I found this on lordsofpain.net -- UFC Light Heavyweight champion Quinton "Rampage" Jackson is being sued by former representatives White Chocolate Management. Here's the official statement: “White Chocolate Management, a Hollywood, Florida based management and Promotion Company and its President Reed Wallace have filed a $10,000,000 lawsuit in the State Supreme Court of New York, against Rampage Jackson, Juanito Ibarra and Ibarra’s Mixed Martial Arts Company for breach of contract, interference with contract and defamation arising out of a breach of a contract and false statements by Ibarra that ‘WCM had nothing to do with Rampage’ although it was Ibarra and his attorneys that prepared the final contract between Rampage and White Chocolate.”. Wonder what happened?

Machida talks strategy for Soko
GRACIEMAG.com : What will be your strategy to face the explosive and strong Sokoudjou? Lyoto : I am a strategist. I will compensate his strength with my technique. I am prepared for everything, if he wants to take it to the ground, I am prepared. It will be 3 rounds, the first 2 minutes will be the hardest, so I will have to hold back a little, because he cannot keep the explosion for the whole 3 rounds.

Silva chomping for prime Chuck
LAS VEGAS – It wasn't uncommon when Woody Hayes was the football coach at Ohio State for the players to arrive at the practice facility in the morning to find Hayes asleep on a couch with game film flapping on the projector. Hayes had stayed up all night breaking down film. John Hackleman, Chuck Liddell's mixed martial arts coach, has no such need to stay up all night breaking down film of Wanderlei Silva, Liddell's opponent at UFC 79 on Saturday at the Mandalay Bay Events Center.
