TUF 13 Finale: Anthony Pettis has 'no problem' taking another non-title fight if he beats Clay Guida
Timing is everything. No one knows this better than Anthony Pettis. You know, that guy who ran up the cage and kicked Ben Henderson in the face at WEC 53 last December in the final fight of the final show in that promotion's history.

As TV Deal Winds Down, UFC Will Choose Between Spike or New Home
Wednesday night marked the season finale of the UFC's major programming vehicle, The Ultimate Fighter. It also marked the unofficial beginning of a countdown to the zero hour when the promotion will be faced with a major decision about the fate of its key show. Its current deal with longtime home Spike expires at the end of 2011, following the 14th season of TUF. According to most observers within the industry, selling the television rights package is the single most important priority for the UFC, and as of now, it remains open for negotiation, a showpiece with bidders circling but no deal yet reached. While the UFC and Spike remain the main players and talks between the two remain ongoing, the two sides aren't the only ones involved. In a drama that has played out over recent months and is expected to drag on into the near future in executive boardrooms, other suitors will continue to try to convince the UFC to abandon its longtime home.

Tony Ferguson Hopes to Change Fans' Perception at TUF Finale
LAS VEGAS – Every season of "The Ultimate Fighter" has a villain. After the season, that villain usually wants to let the world know that he's not really a villain, he just plays one – or is portrayed as one through editing – on TV. Tony Ferguson is the Season 13 villain, and on Thursday, two days ahead of his fight in the finale against Ramsey Nijem, he said he's looking forward to making amends for his actions late in the season, when he was shown commenting about housemate Charlie Rader's family situation, setting off this season's biggest house brouhaha.

Despite broken leg, UFC's Demetrious Johnson expects a speedy return
Early in the second round of his recent UFC 130 fight with Miguel Torres, Demetrious Johnson threw a hard kick that was checked by his opponent. He instantly knew something was wrong but persevered and ultimately got a close decision victory. But after returning to his day job and watching his limb massively swell, he went to the doctor earlier this week and got the bad news: It's broken.

UFC on Versus 5: Dan Hardy vs. Chris Lytle is Official
The UFC officially announced today their August 14th event at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin: UFC on Versus 5, which be televised live on Versus, and headlined by a welterweight bout between Chris Lytle and Dan Hardy, with a co-main event pitting Jim Miller against Ben Henderson: British welterweight star Dan "The Outlaw" Hardy made it no secret that he wanted his next fight to be against fellow knockout artist Chris "Lights Out" Lytle. On Sunday, Aug. 14, live from Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Hardy gets his wish, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship® announced today its first-ever card in Wisconsin. Hardy and Lytle, two of the 170-pound division’s most devastating strikers, will collide in the main event, while lightweight contenders Jim Miller and Ben "Smooth" Henderson go to war in a bout that will determine which fighter moves one step closer to a shot at the title. Plus, light heavyweight star Stephan Bonnar returns to the Octagon® to battle the menacing Karlos Vemola and Amir Sadollah and Duane Ludwig engage in an exciting welterweight bout. "Dan Hardy and Chris Lytle want to stand toe-to-toe until someone falls and that’s a recipe for an outstanding fight," UFC President Dana White said. "This is the fight both guys wanted, so the fans in Milwaukee are in for a treat. The Miller-Henderson fight should be equally exciting since both guys love to come forward and press the action. We can’t wait to host our first event in Wisconsin this summer."

Joe Rogan Jumps Into the Rampage Jackson Debate
Quinton Jackson's post-UFC 130 interview with Karyn Bryant was talked about almost as much as his fight with Matt Hamill. In the interview Jackson made jokes about Bryant "making him horny" before "motorboating" or at least "air motorboating" her chest. This after previous incidents which had led to reporters complaining about his behavior. The incident led to my writing about the MMA community's attitude toward women. The fact that Bryant said that she was okay with the situation meant that many fans were willing to write the situation off as "if she doesn't care, I don't care" with no regard for the pattern of behavior and failure to learn by Jackson. If that weren't bad enough, Jackson began retweeting comments about how his actions were "alpha" before taking to tweeting at Bryant about showing her how an "alpha" acts and suggesting Ariel Helwani is gay following their bizarre interview. After Maggie Hendricks wrote an article at Yahoo's Cage Writer blog about the Rampage/Bryant situation he then said that he bets Maggie is "ass ugly."

It is all over. The ratings are in for episode 10 of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 13 and, all things considered, they aren't too bad. According to numbers released today by Spike TV, the latest episode garnered a 0.9 household rating (including a 1.14 in males 18-49 and a 1.2 in males 18-34) for an average audience of 1.2 million viewers. UFC Quick Quote: Jorge Santiago thought Brian Stann would be an easy fight
Easy does it for middleweight masher Jorge Santiago, who tells Tatame.com that his performance against Brian Stann at this past weekend's UFC 130: "Rampage vs. Hamill" event on May 28 in Las Vegas can be attributed to a lackadaisical attitude toward the match-up. "Sandman" thought he could sink "All American" quickly but was instead felled in the second round via brutal knockout after eating quite a few big shots from the former Marine. Oddsmaker says UFC 137 line could continue to improve for Nick Diaz
Following Wednesday's announcement of an October super fight between UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre (22-2 MMA, 16-2 UFC) and Strikeforce titleholder Nick Diaz (25-7 MMA, 6-4 UFC), St-Pierre opened as a healthy -365 favorite. That means St-Pierre was given nearly an 80 percent chance of winning the fight. But as noted MMA oddsmaker Joey Oddessa told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com), the bettors' early money is coming in for Diaz, and his underdog status could continue to diminish as the fight draws near.

SpikeTV confirms lineup for TUF Finale - 5 fight main card
Spike TV officials today confirmed the full lineup for The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale. The event takes place Saturday at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, and the main card airs on Spike TV. The lineup includes a handful of "TUF 13" fights that MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) first reported on Wednesday. Headlining the show is the "TUF 13" championship between finalists Ramsey Nijem (4-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Tony Ferguson (10-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC). Both fighters won three bouts to advance to the finale. Nijem was head coach Junior Dos' Santos fourth-round pick; Ferguson was Brock Lesnar's third pick. The fighters they defeated in the semifinals, Chris Cope (4-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Chuck O'Neil (8-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC), also meet each other in a main-card bout. The biggest non-"TUF" fight on the televised card is former WEC champ Anthony Pettis (13-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) vs. fellow UFC lightweight contender Clay Guida (28-11 MMA, 8-5 UFC). The winner of the bout, which is one of the summer's featured MMA attractions, will take a big step toward a title shot. Surprisingly, some big names – including Jeremy Stephen, Josh Grispi and Scott Jorgensen – have been relegated to the event's preliminary card. However, UFC officials haven't announced if some (or all) of those fights will be part of free Facebook stream on event night.

Frank Mir: If Brock Lesnar comes back and smashes somebody, then a rubber match will make sense
Frank Mir tells it like it is. Like him or not, there's no one in the sport who is less afraid to be brutally honest than the former two-time UFC heavyweight champion. Mir is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Roy Nelson at UFC 130 in a fight that he dominated from start to finish with knees in the clinch, aggressive takedowns, ground and pound and even a judo throw. With the win, he's now one step closer to potentially fighting for a shot at what would be his third UFC title.

Tom Lawlor vs. Kyle Noke On Tap For UFC on Versus 5
Tom Lawlor had originally been scheduled to face Maiquel Falcao at UFC 134, but Falcao's Zuffa release and subsequent signing with a small Alberta promotion put a damper on that. Lawlor will be moving to a new card though, and will get a tough replacement opponent. TUF 11 cast member Kyle Noke, currently 3-0 under the UFC banner, will step up to face Lawlor on August 14th in Milwaukee.
