"TUF 13" champ Tony Ferguson thinks lightweight may lie ahead but eying Amir Sadollah
LAS VEGAS – Tony Ferguson may not be a welterweight forever, but while he is, he'd like to take on Amir Sadollah. Following Saturday night's knockout win in the main event of The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale, Ferguson admitted a return trip to the lightweight division could potentially loom in his future. But until he makes that call, Ferguson will eye opponents at 170 pounds, and he's already got one in mind. "I saw Amir Sadollah over there, and I knew that he was a pretty big guy that was from 'The Ultimate Fighter,'" Ferguson said. "I think that would be a pretty good little start right there."

Strikeforce adds Coenen-Tate, Gracie-Lawal; Souza-Rockhold announced prematurely
Showtime officials today announced a pair of new contests for July's "Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson" event, as women's welterweight champion Marloes Coenen meets top contender Miesha Tate, and Roger Gracie faces Muhammed "King Mo" Lawal in a light heavyweight affair. Both fights take place on the evening's main card. However, MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has learned that a third bout announced today, a middleweight title fight between Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza and Luke Rockhold, was announced prematurely and will likely take place at a later date.

The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale winner Clay Guida: "Wrestling wins championships"
LAS VEGAS – UFC lightweight contender Clay Guida's grappling-heavy victory over Anthony Pettis (13-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) may have done little to wow some fans, but "The Carpenter" doesn't regret the strategy. Sure, he would have liked to finish the fight just as much as Spike TV-viewers probably hoped to witness such a result in the co-feature of Saturday night's The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale event, but it simply didn't happen. Nevertheless, Guida (29-11 MMA, 9-5 UFC) never thought once about straying from his wrestling-based approach. After all, Guida is simply following a blueprint established by countless others – control the position, control the fight.

Despite losing title shot, TUF 13 Finale's Anthony Pettis finds a silver lining
Those around him may lament the loss of a promised title shot, but Anthony Pettis refuses to dwell on the what-ifs. The final WEC lightweight champion and would-be top UFC contender opted to take a fight with Clay Guida rather than wait on the sidelines for a shot at the gold. Guida derailed Pettis' momentum with a grinder-like performance at The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale on Saturday. But Pettis isn't a regretful guy.

Dana White: Jim Miller Still Ahead of Clay Guida Despite Win Over Anthony Pettis
Clay Guida defeated former No. 1 contender Anthony Pettis via unanimous decision at Saturday's TUF 13 Finale, but according to UFC president Dana White, the dominant win didn't help "The Carpenter" secure a lightweight title shot. White told MMA Fighting on Saturday that Jim Miller "is still ahead of [Guida]" in the organization's lightweight rankings despite Guida's win on Saturday night. Miller (20-2) has won his last seven fights in a row. He is scheduled to meet Ben Henderson at UFC on Versus 5 on Aug. 14 in Milwaukee. For the record: I agree w/ Dana.

Michael Bisping Talks Jason "Mayhem" Miller and Coaching TUF 14
Michael Bisping thinks he can keep his cool around Jason "Mayhem" Miller. Seriously. At least, that's what he told Gareth Davies of The Daily Telegraph today in a wide-ranging interview. Besides talking about the coaching gig, he discussed how much he loves fighting in the UK, how much he hates downtime, and UFC 130. Bisping comes off a lot better here than he does in a lot of interviews, choosing to not demean or insult anyone and actually make light of the heat he seems to get from North American fans. On the TUF 14 coaching job: "I feel very privileged to get a second term as a TUF coach. It shows the UFC holds me in high regard. It’s great to be seen as a fighter and a personality within the sport. The only downside is that it puts me out of action until December, but it’s not like I’m going hungry," said the British fighter, who leaves the UK for Las Vegas this weekend to start filming on Monday. "All in all, it’s a fantastic situation I’m in."

There was a merry-go-round of opponents for "The Tobikan Judan" in this event, but when the music stopped, it was "No Love" who was awarded the high-profile fight. Also featured was an intriguing featherweight scrap between Joachim "Hellboy" Hansen and Mitsuhiro Kikuno as well as a compelling lightweight battle between Katsunori Kikuno and Daisuke Nakamura.

The hand injury that Quinton "Rampage" Jackson sustained this past Saturday at UFC 130 is serious – but perhaps not serious enough to stall his career. As light-heavyweight champion Jon "Bones" Jones (13-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) tells it, Jackson (32-8 MMA, 7-2 UFC) will get a shot at his belt. "I'll be fighting Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson next," Jones told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) on Thursday. "I'm not allowed to discuss the date because I didn't sign a contract, but yeah, it will be very soon."
