Drunken MMA Fans Battle in the Bleachers
link Spectators at a Michigan mixed martial arts event caused a ruckus when they began fighting each other in the stands, in the parking lot, and even at a nearby McDonald's. The booze-fueled fight fans kept police too busy to even make arrests, according to the Saginaw News.

Report: PRIDE to have two US executives
link Nikkan Sports reports that Zuffa LLC will name two American executives to run management for the ’shinsei’ (newborn) PRIDE organization. The expectation is that the two executives will come from UFC and will arrive in Japan at the end of April.

Big Nog vs Vera Rumor
I hope its true With Randy Couture, Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic, Gabriel Gonzaga, Andrei Arlovski and Fabricio Werdum all tied up in the near future, there are few “big name” fighters available to fight the former PRIDE FC heavyweight champion. In fact, the only other competitive option besides Vera is former UFC heavyweight titleholder Tim Sylvia. Of course, the UFC can feed Nogueira a can or journeyman to build up name recognition among fans. But a showdown with someone like Vera — a young and exciting fighter — would no doubt be a solid addition to any pay-per-view (PPV) card. Link

Report: UFC Eyeing UFC 74 for Georges St. Pierre’s Return
link Although recently dethroned UFC welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre will be medically cleared in time to fight at UFC 73 in July, the UFC is looking for the Canadian to make his return to the Octagon in August, according to The Fight Network.Currently, the only rumored event set for August is UFC 74, which is expected to take place Aug. 25 and feature two title defenses: heavyweight champion Randy Couture vs. the winner of this weekend’s Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic vs. Gabriel Gonzaga main event, and lightweight champion Sean Sherk vs. Hermes Franca.

Leonard Garcia Earns Second Shot at UFC Win
link UFC rookie Leonard Garcia (9-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC), who battled Roger Huerta (17-1-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) in one of UFC 69’s most entertaining fights, will be invited back to the UFC for a second fight, according to the Houston Chronicle’s Steve Sievert. Garcia, who filled in for Alvin Robinson on just one month’s notice, dropped a unanimous decision to Huerta. But his constant smiling and refusal to slow down for 15 full minutes earned him a standing ovation at the bout’s conclusion. It also earned him a second shot at a UFC victory.

Cincinnati Likely to Host October UFC Event
link UFCjunkie.com has heard from a few sources this past week that the UFC still intends to put on an event in Cincinnati later this year, and it could happen as soon as October. Additionally, a rematch between current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and former champ Rich Franklin would be one of the marquee matches.

Steve Vigneault Injured, Cote vs. Wallace to Headline TKO 29
link UFC veteran Steve Vigneault has suffered an injury which has forced him to withdraw from his upcoming title fight with Jonathan Goulet at TKO 29: Reprecussion. The fight was originally scheduled to take place at TKO 28: Inevitable but again Vigneault was forced to drop the fight when it was announced he injured his knee during training.

PRIDE Planning Museum Establishment
link PRIDE Worldwide owner, Lorenzo Fertitta, has stated he has plans to build a museum establishment along with gyms and sports bars. Apparently the museum will be built in Tokyo and it will include a section commemorating PRIDE’s past and present champions.
