Frank Trigg “Twinkle Toes” Interview
Marlene: You’ve done a great job commentating on Pride Fights for FSN, are we looking to see you commentating for a while? Frank: I have no idea! I have no idea what’s going on with Pride, like everybody else right now, I’m trying to figure out what’s going to happen next with the UFC/Pride merger. I’m just waiting to find my place or if I have a spot there at all. Marlene: How’s your training coming along? Frank: I’ve been doing a lot of exercising, a lot of jiu jitsu training with John Luis. I start going back in the ring next week with Randy Couture doing a little light sparring. I really don’t have anything coming up in the near future so I’m not worried about what’s going on. Marlene: Will we be seeing you back in the welter weight division or do you see yourself more in the middle weight division? Frank: I prefer to stay at middleweight, I’m happier and it’s easier for me to make the weight and I get to have a little fun. Training is more fun when I’m at 185, when I was down to 170 it hurt all the time, I just feel better when I’m up. Marlene: Will you tell me more about your fight in Pride against Kazuo Misaki? I know he won against Dan Henderson. L=http://www.onthemat.com/articles/Frank_Trigg_Twinkle_Toes_Interview_06_14_2007.html]link[/L]

Renzo ashamed of cousin Royce
Link to Blog

Wow. The Gracie Train is falling apart faster than Amtrack. On an interview with Taggradio , cousin Renzo does not mince his words, stating that Royce should be "ashamed" of 'supplementing' the Gracie Diet and commenting that Royce has been distancing himself from The Family.

Gracie Maintains Innocence Regarding CSAC Results.
Of the mixed martial artists that fought June 2 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, MMA pioneer Royce Gracie (Pictures) was likely the last man anyone would have tabbed a steroid user. However, on Thursday, that veneer was crushed when the California State Athletic Commission revealed the 40-year-old Brazilian tested positive in both "A" and "B" samples for traces of Nandrolone, a commonly used anabolic steroid. link

Rich Franklin - Money Player
Rich Franklin’s a helluva guy, but despite that soft-spoken demeanor, the former UFC middleweight champion doesn’t play well with others. In fact, when it comes to his athletic life, he’s downright selfish. In other words, he would never be the sixth man in basketball, the setup reliever in baseball, or the offensive lineman in football. Rich Franklin has to be the star, the man with the ball when time’s running out, the one upon whose shoulders rests victory or defeat. LINK

Breaking News: Gracie Fails Drug Test.
Mixed martial arts icon Royce Gracie (Pictures), best known as the slender gi-wearing Brazilian who twisted oversized competitors into knots during the early days of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, tested positive for traces of Nandrolone, a commonly used anabolic steroid, following his decision win over Kazushi Sakuraba (Pictures), June 2 in Los Angeles, the California State Athletic Commission revealed Thursday. Gracie (14-3-3) has been suspended from June 2, 2007 through May 30, 2008, and is fined $2,500, the maximum penalty by the CSAC. The 40-year-old member of the legendary fighting family has until July 13 to appeal the suspension to the CSAC. Calls to Gracie's representatives were not immediately returned. ... I gotta say, wow... Just wow... out of all the people. Crazy.

Forrest Griffin - Nothing Else Matters
How do you describe 2006 for Forrest Griffin? Did his gallant stand in a close decision loss against former light heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz and a rematch victory over Stephan Bonnar make it his best year as a fighter, or did his devastating TKO defeat at the hands of Keith Jardine in December forever mark that 12 month period as the worst of his professional life? Tito ready to show he's still a contender
Tito Ortiz has been under scrutiny his entire career. From his hold out to fighting Chuck Liddell to his boxing match with Dana White that never happened, he is always a controversial figure in the sport of mixed martial arts. Being controversial is what got the ‘Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ to be one of the biggest stars in UFC history. LINK

Irish Pride: Dustin Hazelett vs. Stevie Lynch
When Dustin Hazelett first found out he was fighting Stevie Lynch he wasn't sure what to think. This was mainly due to the fact that Lynch has only had four pro fights in his career to date. That isn't to so say Lynch isn't talented. He impressively won all four fights by either submission or TKO. LINK

Jason MacDonald - Hard Lessons Lead to ‘Victory’
It’s one of the fight game’s oldest clichés, but also one of it’s truest: you learn more from a loss than you ever will from a win. Of course, no undefeated fighter believes this adage, and when he’s running along and taking people out with little difficulty, losing is the furthest thing from his mind. LINK
