After a whirlwind of reports and speculation since early 2018, the UFC has finally made its first trip to Russia official.

The promotion announced its maiden voyage to the country via its social media channels on Wednesday morning. RT.com first reported that the UFC were targeting a Russian event way back in January.

UFC Fight Night Moscow will take place at Olimpiyskiy Arena. Tickets for the event will go on sale on Friday, June 1st.

This is gonna be slick. Zabit, Mairbek, Rustam, Salikov, to mane a few.

Doubt we see Khabib defend on a Fight Night.

Nicco Montano already backed out of defending her title in Calgary against Valentina, even though she would have been more than ready to do so by then. If she doesn't defend it in LA at UFC 227, then they should make her go to Moscow and defend it against Valentina there. If she still keeps trying to back out, then they should really consider stripping her and let Valentina fight for the vacant belt in Moscow. We don't need another GDR.

I agree. Instead she thinks a 2-2 Eubanks deserves it.

That's crazy. Shevchenko would beat Nicco and Eubanks in the same night. frfr

This was announced right after Tony Ferguson said he will be ready for fall...if Conor won't fight Khabib in Russia you Tony's crazy ass will!

No way they book a title fight on a fight night. But no way they don’t capitalize on Khabib on his country’s turf. Weird dichotomy there.

Sometimes they would, and a women's flyweight title seems like a title that could be on a fight night... they were going to put it on FOX, initially.... and this is their first trip to Moscow so why not let them sacrifice Nicco to Valentina there?

Khabib should have a face to face in the cage with the next challenger on this show, promoting the fight.

That's what I was kind of thinking... any idea against who? I know you have your inside sources.
