Is anyone actually surprised by this outcome though? When this all happened, I didn't expect anything other than a slap on the wrist. It's what has become the norm for athletes with a lot of money and incredible lawyers. I would have been more surprised if he DID have to serve jail time.

If Nick Diaz had done it, he would be given the chair.

I like the Jon Jones that's nuts and runs over people more than the old Jon Jones that said he was a snitch in High School. Who lies about being a snitch?

As for the DC stuff, it is all a pro wrestling gimmick. DC loves professional wrestling and now that he has the belt he is going to try making fake grudges for big fights. I don't think DC meant the things he said about Bader, just trying to hype.

So the real question is do you root for the bad guy who pretends to be a good guy or the good guy that is trying to be bad.

The last time Jon Jones was in the blue corner, somebody's face got broken. Food for thought.

i really do pity who fights JJ next. and ive always liked Gus's chances in a rematch, but not after all this. JJ will be motivated to make a point and whether its Gus or DC, i think JJ gets the finish

i personally would like to see him fight Gus in a rematch and then Rumble and then as he looks down the rankings and sees there is nothing left for him, go up to HW

If he goes up to HW and defends the belt it would be hard to argue he isn't GOAT but I can't imagine the time off helped him and DC looked pretty beast against Rumble.
