LAS VEGAS – Miguel Torres' UFC release proved a rather short one.

Following a press conference ahead of Friday's UFC 141 event, UFC president Dana White was joined by the former WEC champion.

White confirmed that despite the fighter's release from the promotion earlier this month due to a controversial Twitter message he posted, Torres has rejoined the organization. Torres' representatives confirmed the move when contacted by MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com).

I'm glad Torres is back. They need Bantamweights and he's one of the best. In my opinion it would be stupid to let him go over something so ridiculous.

Maybe Dana should undergo that training too.

Or take some class to make him think before he does stuff.

I figured this would happen. It was ridiculous to cut one guy and keep 2 others for basically the exact same comments. He was taking a lot of criticism, I figured he would have to cave sooner or later, he was probably just waiting for everyone to stop talking about it so when he went back on his decision it would be a blip in the news.

About damn time. Torres is too good and too cool to not be in the UFC.

I thought he'd be back in the UFC verry soon.

we all kinda had a feeling he was coming back, dont lie now..LOL..at least Dana didnt go on a big announcement type of b.s. just to tell us he's bring Torres back..when i rather hear it from the one who stupidly got fired..WAR TORRES

This is good! news, if they keep Sonnen on the roster with half the comments he makes and cut Torres for one dumb comment then that's just stupid logic, good that he's back where he belongs, though i'm sure Torres will be more twiiterphobic now.
