I have been liking how Smith has looked in his last few fights even before the wins over Rashad and Shogun I thought he looked quite good. To be honest I thought Volkan would be too much for him but he definitely proved me wrong.

As long as Smith can avoid the big power strikers at lhw for the first round then I give him a good chance against almost anyone. He’s got a good chin, good stand up, underrated ground game and very good cardio. Definitely a handful for anyone. I’d like him to face either Cirkunov, Glover or the winner of Manuwa vs Santos. I think if he can get past any one of those men in his next fight then he is right there for a title shot.
