“Uncle Creepy” is calling it a day.

Ian McCall announced Monday on The MMA Hour that he is retiring after a 15-year career that saw him become one of the best fighters in the 125-pound division.

Sad news. Peaked a little too early, doubly worse since lighter fighters age faster. His inconsistency never impacted his ability to entertain me. We need more characters in MMA.

This guy had some major bad luck towards the end of his career.

Remember that time that Uncle Creepy was interviewed by the fine folks at MMAplayground.com / MMA@Work and talked about becoming a critic after retirement?

I liked him a lot due to his character in the cage.

I wish him all the best in the next chapter of his career. That MM fight really started his streak of bad luck. It's a bummer but when he was on JRE he talked about how much damage he's taken and his lack of care for his own body may have been his biggest pitfall.
