Former longtime UFC champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk is set to compete in her first non-title UFC bout since December 2014.

Jedrzejczyk (14-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) will meet fellow strawweight contenders Tecia Torres (10-2 MMA, 6-2 UFC) at July’s UFC on FOX 30 event, MMAjunkie verified with UFC officials following an initial report from ESPN.

UFC on FOX 30 takes place July 28 at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The card is expected to air on FOX following early prelims on UFC Fight Pass, though broadcast plans haven’t been finalized, and a main event has yet to be named for the card.

Instead of booking one or the other, they might as well book Poirier/Alvarez and Montano/Shevchenko for this card!

Main card could be:

Montano vs Shevchenko for women’s flyweight title
Aldo vs Stephens
Alvarez vs Poirier
Joanna vs Tecia

That would pay back Calgary, and than some, for that bad card they brought there last time and the amount of time it took them to come back.

Regarding this fight, I really like it, but with this being the 3rd women’s fight booked for the card, it gets me worried that the women’s flyweight title won’t happen here. I can’t remember the last time, if ever, 4 women’s bouts happened at a single ufc event... I’m fine with it.

I can see them stripping Montano of the title in a month or two.

Then they better let Shevchenko fight for it in Calgary.

Nicco really isn't that good. Last year she lost to Invicta's Julia "Ranging Panda" Avila last year. She doesn't stand a chance against Shevchenko.

I know Nicco’s not that good, I just want to see the belt she’s holding, fought for. Also, Shevchenko is one of my two favourite female fighters so it would be nice watching her win her first UFC belt live. I’ve never seen her compete before either.

Valentina will straight demolish anyone else. I'm not sure there's been a better example of an uncrowned champ than her.

Tecia ain't no pushover, I hope she can get up here against JJ. I've always kind of disliked JJ but after her post fight press conference when she was beaten by Rose for the 2nd time I cannot stand her anymore. She paid no respect to Rose and was a sore loser.

In all fairness to JJ she won all 5 rounds against Rose, I'd be butt hurt about that too. Credit to Rose though, she got JJ to throw less strikes than any DEC she's ever been to. I thought the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th were 100% Joanna, outlanding Rose 27-20, 30-19, and 38-22 in those rounds. I guess the judges just liked Rose's 85 head strikes more than JJ's 54 leg kicks, still a bad decision and JJ should be the rightful champ.

She's gonna walk through Torres in this fight.

All 5 rounds come on bra ! I actually scored it 48-47 for JJ but no way all 5 rounds for JJ, you don't seem to acknowledge damage or fighters being hurt at all ?

Blood and swelling aren't scorable criteria, that's why they changed the wording in the new rules from "damage" to "impact", to avoid this confusion. JJ bled and had some swelling, but nothing Rose threw ever "impacted" the fight. If there was a KD, or if JJ was visibly hurt by any of Rose's shots I would be more inclined to agree with the decision, but having more scar tissue shouldn't lose you the fight. As it stands I can't look at this as anything but a robbery. I'm still of the mindset that judges are completely unnecessary in combat sports, they fuck up every event, whereas Fightmetric remains perfect.

I want to chime in on the Rose vs JJ fight.

JB, JJ didn't win all 5 Rounds. Yes JJ outstruck her but overall strikes landed don't win a fight for you.

The 49-46x3 for Rose wasn't right. I figured 48-47 and i was thinking a possible SD was coming. I had Rose winning 3 Rounds to 2.
