Romero will not be able to win the UFC interim middleweight title fight in his bout with Luke Rockhold at UFC 221. Rockhold will be interim champion if he wins, but Romero would not win the belt even with a victory.

Always something with Romero. Gay Jesus, sitting on the stool against Kennedy, losing to Whitaker while Whitaker was injured, fence grab that possibly cost Jacare that SD loss, and talking shxt to the Professional Rockhold.

Damn straight Rockhold had a right to be upset. Its for the Interim belt. Now watch Yoel Ko him and then what another Interim MW PPV. Headliner.

Tighten up Yolo

Normally, it bugs me when someone misses weight by more than 3 pounds and Romero was around that. But since he took this fight on short notice and really tried to make the weight, I'm not really upset with him.

I do agree, you never know what to expect with Yoel.

It sucks that he missed wieght, but when you ask a 40 year old man to cut like 30 pounds in 3 weeks, i don't know what you expect lol.

He signed up for it and knew the Interim belt was on the line. They could've asked KG or Weidman. Idk or Bisping.lol

True, I'm not saying what he did wasn't unprofessional, because it was, but they chose the 40 year old and have to suffer the consequences. lol
I am kind of surprised they didn't do Weidman/Rockhold 2 but Weidman probably didn't want to travel to Perth and fight on short notice. KG would have been good too, but he hasn't really become a draw yet and he's yet to beat somebody coming off a win and under 38 in the MW division lol.
