Back in November, a crazy rumor made the headlines stating that current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley was in talks to face Nate Diaz at UFC 219. Despite “The Chosen One” confirming, UFC president Dana White chalked it up to fake news.

A few months later, the talks have ignited, as Woodley recently revealed that the fight has actually been offered to the Stockton slugger, and if he had to bet his house on it, Tyron says his next bout will be against the scrappy striker.

I give Nate a 5% chance of winning this. I hope the betting odds are good enough.

This is a fight. Anything can happen, although I don't see how Tyron would put himself in danger unless he gets clipped hard and goes for a sloppy takedown. I personally do not want to see this fight. But I see this as a possibility. T-Wood gets the money fight he's been asking for, all the while they book Wonder Boy & RDA for a title eliminator fight. All the while find your possible next in line with a Covington & Till fight. Makes logistical sense but not practical in the least bit.

No thank you, I think he is taking the easy fight. I mean if Nate was fighting on a regular basis it would be competitive but Aug 2016 is a long layoff to jump in against Woodley.

I would bet his house too.......just no contenders at 170..............at least none that will sell a PPV with Woodley like Nate will. He's gonna get at least 500K for this fight, maybe more.
