Former UFC bantamweight Francisco Rivera is the second fighter since the UFC formed its relationship with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) to get a four-year suspension.

USADA today announced the news after Rivera’s (11-7 MMA, 4-6 UFC) case and subsequent suspension were reviewed by an independent arbitrator. Rivera tested positive for the banned substance clenbuterol during an out-of-competition urine sample collected on July 23, 2016.

He was on clenbuterol out of competition. That almost proves a hard juice out of competition and on top of that lied and falsified evidence multiple times to try to get away with it. He should never compete again and that's basically what they are getting with giving him the 4 year ban. USADA is doing exactly what they are meant to and should do.

I agree. When somebody falsifies evidence to try and prove they are innocent they deserve to get the hammer dropped on 'em.
And this was his second failed drug test, too. So I think it's safe to say Rivera's a cheater and that he doesn't deserve to fight.

Listen, I'm not gonna argue with you.....I just believe USADA ruined the sport, that's just my personal opinion.

give the man a break he went to Mexico and ate some tainted horse meat.

oh wait.... didn't Overeem try to say that a few years ago himself?

I think there should be two divisions in each weight class. One where USADA rules apply and the other where you can do whatever you want winning is the ultimate goal. Hell Hall could stay in the MW Division using clenbuterol and have stellar cardio.

I felt bad when Rivera got eye poked by Uriah Faber in a fight that was highly competitive to that point. Now I just feel like Uriah evened the playing field. I thought it unfairly swung the fight in Uriah's favor when that happened. Now I know the fight was already unfairly in Rivera's favor when the fight started. I always respected the way this dude fought. He brought it and had some very entertaining fights. This shits all over that for me.
