Is Georges St-Pierre’s alleged “master plan” to fight Conor McGregor currently in motion? If so, it sounds like UFC President Dana White is ready to put an end to it.

Back in March, it was Michael Bisping who claimed St-Pierre was scheming to beat him for the middleweight title, drop the belt and ultimately land a super fight with McGregor in an attempt to win a UFC title in a third division. The first two parts are complete, with St-Pierre submitting then-champion Bisping last month at UFC 217. One month later, St-Pierre vacated the title, leaving doubt about his fighting future.

But if it’s McGregor who St-Pierre hopes to eventually fight, White has a stern response.

Dana's not interested because it's Georges wanting the fight. But if it was Conor who really wanted the fight then I'm sure Dana would change his tune. He let Conor box Mayweather because Conor wanted it, if Conor wanted to fight Georges bad enough he'd get that fight, too. Hands down.

Hell, a couple years back Shaq was talking about competing in the UFC. If Conor wanted to fight Shaq, Dana and the UFC would probably oblige!

I get why he goes that extra mile and then some for Conor, but it gets annoying at times..

Agree. If Connor wants this fight, it will happen, but under no other circumstances.

Most importantly, they have to get the most intriguing and competitive fight in the UFC done first! Mayweather vs. McGregor!
