Another one of the well-known Nova Uniao sparring sessions left Jose Aldo with a cut on the top of his head, which he needed to patch up with no more than five stitches. As alarming as that sounds, especially with a title unification bout against Max Holloway less than a month away, Aldo guarantees the fight is still happening as scheduled.

"This is a normal cut. I've fought with my eyebrow stitched up, once. This one is on the top of my head. It's a sign of victory." Aldo told Combate. "I was sparring last week, I went for a double leg and there was a clash of heads. I'm training as usual. The placement of the cut doesn't hinder me in any way. It's cool. I got five stitches.

Why report to the media at all? Jose. I swear to god if he pulls out... This guy pulls out more than anyone else, more than Cain. At least Cain will shelve himself.

that was the first thing that came to my mind, I was thinking great he is going to pull out of this fight.

I love Aldo, but this is getting a bit ridiculous....I will say that the majority of fights he pulled out from, he ended up fighting the opponent anyway, but with 212 coming up shortly, he should make sure that cut heal properly because if it opens up during the fight, it could lead to a referee stoppage.
