The welterweight division is back on track.

UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley announced Monday on his podcast, The Morning Wood Show, that he intends to fight Stephen Thompson in a rematch on March 4 at UFC 209, ending weeks of heated debate over Woodley’s next opponent.

Not too thrilled to see this rematch live again.

And the cancellation of vegas fight night.
May vegas ppv is definitely on the radar now

Fight was a draw, they had to do a rematch to get a clear winner. I think if Wonderboy wins, Woodley doesn't get an immediate rematch.

I believe the only time u get an instant rematch is if u got robbed..it might have been a close/split/draw fight..but the challenger had his chance and failed, no matter how u look at it..and there are guys waiting to fight for that belt..Maia and so on..but it is what it is..I know it will be a different fight this time around

I get what your saying but that leads to the boxing robberies of "you gotta beat the champ to win the belt"...you know? I think this is the right match, Nick Diaz should fight Robbie Lawler and we shouldn't talk about GSP until that situation is taken care of.

Only fight the organization and Woodley should have ever considered. Glad to see it's finally in the works. Just like last time, I hope Thompson knocks his head into the cheap seats.

I feel like maia got shafted. Sure a draw does scream "rematch," but their first fight wasn't as close as the scores indicate. Woodly had 2 dominate rounds and then 3 rounds of lackadaisical fighting. Maia finished Condit who was arguably the linear champ since most people think he beat Lawler and Maia finished him in roughly 90 seconds. Wonderboy had his chance and he didn't do enough to win or earn this rematch.
