The legendary fighter started his testing Aug. 10. The UFC's return to Toronto just so happens to be at UFC 206 on Dec. 10 — four months to the very day.
"I want to go back to fighting. I don't have to. I would like to, because I feel I'm in my prime right now. I'm the best I've ever been at 35. Right now. I don't want to wait any longer, because if I wait too long I'm gonna be past that prime and I don't want that. This is a good time to be back right now. That's why I want to go back."

Nick is the money fight. I think the UFC gives GSP a winnable comeback fight and Diaz is it. I really don't think they give him an instant tile shot. It could tarnish his image and career vying forward. Diaz or Thompson. I just don't think they risk GSP with Robbie and Maia and Condit are fighting for next title shot. And no one wants to see Hendricks & GSP. So it's...

Tyron
Thompson
Gastelum
Diaz

I have a feeling we'll see Woodley-Thompson as the co-main event to Alvarez-McGregor in NYC and with Condit-Maia this week the only legit options are Diaz (the winnable money rematch), Lawler ( I think would be a money fight as well but a tough comeback) or Gastelum/Magny/Larkin. I think a super fight with Anderson at a catchweight is still wishful thinking.

It can't be Magny. That would be such a waste, especially since he just lost.

If Maia chokes out Condit tomorrow I would LOVE to see Maia face GSP in December.

GSP isn't coming back for the money they are offering him. That's why Dana recently remarked that he doesn't have the drive anymore.

Really even if he isn't coming back for the money, anybody he fights is going to be a high profile fighter and it will be a money fight regardless. GSP owns the record for largest gate revenue ever in the UFC and is arguably in the top 5 p4p and definite hall of famer.
