So how exactly did the cageside judges arrive at their winning scores for Conor McGregor in Saturday’s pay-per-view headliner with Nate Diaz?

Check out the official scorecards from the bout, which took place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas:

I had it for Diaz but I wouldn't call it a robbery, just a very close fight.

They both had dominant Rounds, or should I say easy to score Rounds with Conor 1st Round and Nate's 3rd Round. The other 3 were somewhat close but I scored it 48-47 w/ Rounds 1,2,4 going to McGregor. I didn't think any Round warranted a 10-8 either but I wouldn't have been upset to hear a 10-8, Split Decision for either fighter or even a Diaz victory. I enjoyed the fight a lot but I agree with the Decision.

47-47 draw.

Just curious how you came up with this score. Are you giving Diaz a 10-8 3rd?

I wanted Diaz to win too but I think McGregor's 1st Round was every bit as dominant as Diaz 3rd if not more.

Or are you scoring a Round 10-10 and giving both fighters a 10-8?

10-8s man...it's so subjective I don't know when you make the case for or against it in a fight like this.

Nate's comeback in Round 2 saved him from being on the wrong end of a 10-8, but I gave Nate a 10-8 for the 3rd Round. You can't evade the fight the way Conor was in the 3rd without some type of penalty.

I think the fact that Connor the judges acknowledged 3 rounds out of 5 should be enough for all of us to sleep well at night, the judging bullshit is still out there everybody...just because we haven't been hit with a bad decision in a while doesn't mean that these assholes got it figured out yet. The right guy won the fight...simply put.

Fair enough. I was just curious is all and obviously one of the judges saw it the same way you did.

However I thought Round 1 for McGregor was the most one-sided Round. And now that I think about it, Round 2 was going the same way until the last 1:00 minute mark or so.

I think it was a draw as well.

I think conor definitely ran alot and avoided fighting enough to deduct a point.

Both guys had there moments and both looked shitty too.

Id love a third fight but keep it WW no need to change up variables and give reasons for excuses.

Diaz says he hurt his knee and his rib leading up to this fight and that this camp went worse then the last.......whether thats true or not i dunno but diaz definitely didnt have as much gastank as usual he was breathing hard in. 4Th and 5th.

Imho if nate could see in the 4th and 5th he woulda finished mcgregor.

Mcgregor was running resting and exhausted and nate coukdnt see a damn thing.

Connor brought the condit gsmeplan and it mostly worked.I think this fight still didnt really answer anything accept that this fight can be sold a dozen times lol.

I have to watch the fight again for more accurate judgment, but on the fly and not too hammered, I still thought it was a draw but probably going to Conor.

I think had the fans started booing Conor ala UFC 200 when Cormier kept taking down Silva, then I think Big John would have been more vocal about the stalling.

I had it 48-47 McGregor and that's without any 10-8 rounds and as there were 3 knock downs all in favour of McGregor, if there was a 10-8 round surely it would go to McGregor.

I picked Diaz but I don't think anyone can argue it was a robbery , in my opinion McGregor won the fight

I dont see how you could give any of them a 10-8. Connor comes closest in the first but he landed some solid shots in the 3rd even though he still lost it.

A true 10-8 imo would be Shogun-Hendo 1 round 5 when Shogun had him in mount almost the whole round and Hendo did nothing.

But the fans don't do point deductions unless they are actually taken away by the ref.

I didnt deduct from conor i just gave diaz a 10-8.

Under newly agreed upon 10-8 rules you dont have to murder someone to get a 10-8......i think diaz constantly pressing forward controlling the pace and cage coupled with his effective striking and connor backing up a ton was enough .conor wasn't even engaging a fair amount of the round he was running away.
