A heavyweight clash between a pair of fighters looking to rebound from high-profile losses is set for UFC 203.

UFC officials announced Ben Rothwell (36-10 MMA, 6-4 UFC) will face former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum (20-6-1 MMA, 8-3 UFC) at UFC 203, which takes place Sept. 10 at Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena.

With the addition to the card, UFC 203 now includes:

Champ Stipe Miocic vs. Alistair Overeem
Ben Rothwell vs. Fabricio Werdum

So far so good. I like these 2 fights they have booked. It offers protection to the Main Event too in case of an injury.

Wouldn't doubt if this is the Co-Main. Maybe they'll add 1 or 2 more HW fights to this card. Maybe they can pull off a UFC 146 2.0.

No I can't make it to that one unfortunately but I'll be in Cleveland for sure. I have a family and a wedding and a kid hat's into sports. 1 Event per year is a good goal for me. I can't go to 18 Events a year like some of these guys.

Rothwell will get killed by a motivated Werdum.

Good matchup, but it's a bit strange that Rothwell loses to the #4 and then gets a shot at the #1. If he wins, what do you do with him next?

It is strange that he's getting sort of a step-up in competition. But then again the HW Division is in that state right now. Not a lot going on there.

Best thing that happen to this Division is Werdum beating Cain though.

If Rothwell wins by submission, he is the greatest submission fighter in MMA history.

AMEN!!!!

if Cain would have won that he probably wouldn't have even made another defense yet

Even if the belt keeps moving at least its being defended. its just crazy how nobody can defend the title more then twice. I think Werdum wins this pretty easily as well. Probably will look like his fight with Roy Nelson and Dos Santos fights with Roy & Ben. But you never know Rothwell could land big.

Totally fair, and I looked at who's available around his ranking right now, and there really isn't anybody.

Does JDS have a fight set up? I figured Werdum would rematch him.

It's a nice setup for Werdum who can get a rematch with either so long as he wins.

Not bad, not where I would of went though either. I would of went rematch for Werdum. Either Jds, Overeem or Cain.
