UFC heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic will get to stand on home turf when he looks to defend his belt for the first time, when he meets Alistair Overeem in the main event of UFC 203.

I'm going. Cleveland is driving distance from Detroit. I'll start putting some money to the side now.

At least there's something to brag about in Cleveland now

All jokes aside. This will be a very interesting fight. Stipe in my mind still has questions that need to be answered as far as a championship mind set goes. Overeem has been a masterful game-plan-sticker-to under the tutelage of Jackson/Winkeljohn. So this will be a fight between a young and still hungry fighter and a vet with patience for daayyss. I really want to think that Stipe will win with a KO or something spectacular; but I see this going all five rounds and being boring as all hell and the winner will be the person that didn't make the most constructive offensive attack but rather the one who is willing to be the most patient and wait for openings. And when the fight is considered that way, I could see Ubereem winning that affair. Stipe needs to dictate the pace early and often and that way he breaks Overeems new plodding style.

Great title fight

I think this sets up JDS/Werdum 2 and Cain will probably get the next title shot if everything goes well against Browne. Heavyweight is much more interesting these days.

I might look for you again. I'll either be living in NY or Ohio at that point but both are easy drives.

This is actually a pretty interesting fight. If Overeem fights the same way he fought Dos Santos and makes Stipe come after him we might have a new champ.

I think so too. Cain loses belt in Mexico, Werdum loses it in Brazil and Stipe is now fighting in his home town. What makes it crazier is that Reem already said he's gunna take the belt and defend it in Holland.

I'm not sure if I'll be going with my Brother or Brother In-Law or maybe just one of my buddies. I actually don't have many friends that like MMA. And I'm in Lincoln Park, 2 Exits South of Detroit off I-75 so I'll probably not be able to car pull since I won't be driving for sure but we could hook up before the Fight Pass Prelims or one of the the FS1 Prelims that I could go without seeing. I'll definitely make a couple Rounds around the Arena though. Last time I got pics with Jorge Gurgel, he sat a couple rows in front of me. Almost got to meet Dana and Stipe. Got Pics with Bruce Buffer and Stitch. And hung out with Tim Elliot and a few of his friends for about 20 mins. Also drank a beer with Justin Edwards and got to square off with Rich Franklin. That was at Fight Night 40 in Cinncy. My trip to the Fox Chicago Event didn't go as well. We got there late and I wasn't feeling very good so I didn't try to mingle with anybody plus I had Cageside at Cinncy and that's where you'll meet a lot more people. Chicago I was in the 100's section but no where near cage side and was sitting by some turds that were like 25 yrs or younger that where pissy drunk and they took their shirts off and showed their bird chests while screaming like high school girls that they wanted more blood.

Since it's a PPV the tickets will be a little more than the last Fox card I went but I'm probably gonna sit decent. Around $230-$355 price range.

Yeah kerma. If you go I'll def. have to bump into you this time. It's crazy last time I walked right by you and you had your Red Fighter Shirt on but I wasn't sure it was you at first.

And R&S if you go we'll have to hook up for a little bit too. I'll probably get there 3-4 hrs early this time since the drive is so much closer.

That would be nice to see you guys. What a Motley Crue.

Jessica Eye will be on this card too. She's from Cleveland and even if she loses to McMann, I think the UFC will keep her around for this card and if she wins I could see her possibly Headlining the FS1 Prelims. Don't really want her on the PPV portion though.

Maybe The Immortal Matt Brown will get on there as well with a quick turn around from UFC 201. He's an Ohio native.

Maybe even Kevin Lee on the Prelims since he's the Motown Phenom.

And possibly Cody Garbrandt too since he's a Pittsburgh guy I think. Garbrandt vs Lineker or Mayday would rock.
