Maybe Jason Miller's planned return to fighting was supposed to represent a fresh start. But so far, we seem to be getting more of his same old act.

The troubled Miller was arrested the morning of Feb. 7 in Irvine, Calif. for suspicion of driving under the influence, according to Orange County public arrest records. He was released later that day and is due to appear in a local court on March 7.

He needs some serious mental health help. Getting hit in the head is probably not going to help his mental state.

Hook him up with Johnny Manziel. He shouldn't be allowed to fight until he gets help and healthy - for his own good and those around him. Having him fight is just enabling him

Yeah man. He's going to have to fight on Indian reservations now.

That did not take long. Did that Italian promotion give Miller an advance on his fight purse?

I just read the statement from their Promoter, he fully defends Miller and the decision to sign him and intends to have him fight still.

He said Miller's problems all began after he retired, and that by signing him out of retirement, he is somehow past those problems since he isn't retired. WTF?

I don't like it. I don't think it's good business to work with Miller right now. He has a lot of problems, I don't know how this helps someone who seems like they are losing some kind of serious addiction battle.

Dana White said at one point (paraphrasing): Jason is an awesome guy, funny, personable...when he's on his meds. When he's off, he's a whole 'nother character who is difficult to be around.

It's sad to see someone with talent go down the road he has gone down. It is a bit of a wake up call to us in the MMA community that mental illness in this country is a major issue. And without Mayhem the MMA community would turn a blind eye to it. I still think most do but at least some exposure to this problem is better than nothing.
