After a recent and quick title loss, Donald Cerrone says he’ll soon have his next fight. He also has a willing opponent.

Cerrone (28-7 MMA, 15-4 UFC) suffered a 66-second TKO loss to lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos (25-7 MMA, 14-5 UFC) earlier this month in UFC on FOX 17’s headliner.

On Tuesday, Cerrone, who snapped an eight-fight winning streak with the title loss, said he’s ready to fight again and that announcement will be made soon

Seems like a pretty logical fight to me. These two matchup well together.

I like this fight too, with mj losing to Diaz it isn't as if a title contender would be eliminated.

Mj couldn't find his reach against Nate. I'm surprised he wants to fight another guy that's so long.

No matter what anyone thinks of his situation MJ should reconsider this match up, seeing as he has lost his last 2...I am not saying he'd lose his job, but he could be on the prelims pretty quick.

I'd rather see Nate rematch cowboy. The ufc should try building nate so a connor fight does sell big & him beating cerrone a top 5 guy does it. If not him vs Khabib finally also sounds good

They don't use their reach the same. Plus Cerrone has pretty weak boxing/boxing defence.

Definitely makes sense. It would be rough for the loser but whoever wins can jump right back into the mix since lightweight is pretty much up for grabs with Dos Anjos in control. He doesn't have a ton of challengers.
