"I promise I will fight for the belt next year," she told Combate. "In 2016, I want to write a different story. I want, above all things, to be respected. I want a triumphant return. I won't accept ending 2016 without an UFC belt on my waist. Everything I want, I get. That will be my battle."

I don't want to kick someone when they're down but Bethe will never get another title shot. She doesn't have the skillset to beat any of Rousey's other past victims and that's the only way to a 2nd shot. I see Bethe being dominated by Miesha, McMann, Zingano, Davis, Kaufman, Eye, Holm, Carmouche, Andrade, Nunes and even Pena. She already got her easy route to a title shot out of the way with 3 fairly unimpressive wins and being in the right place at the right time so how does a 2nd title shot happen? Especially when she got to show no offensive whatsoever in the 1st fight... Sorry Bethe, it's stepping stone time I hate to say it.

Well those are some lofty goals; good luck Bethe! There is no "marketable" route for her to take to another title shot, just beating top competition. I'm with Budgellism, I don't know that she gets past many of the top competitors.

I agree with the above. She could have some competitive fights against the above mentioned but I think she loses to most of them.
Put her against eye next. I think correia would get her ass handed to her in that one too. She wants to stay relevant but those comments make her sound like a bit of a dumbass.

Bethe sbould have never been allowed to enter the cage that night and the only reasons she was allowed are:

The division is shallow as hell
The Champ has already cleaned out the division
Ronda is a cash cow

She should have to fight her way back to the top for another title fight (like said before) and I seriously doubt she's the caliber of fighter that can make a legitimate climb to the top. I think she'll be remembered for being the worse challenger of Ronda's belt ever.

I think you underestimate this division.

She looks like a killer but still unproven against top competition.

Unproven my friend. Pena's had 2 fights in the UFC, none of which are even close to the skill level of the girls I mentioned. She's 6-2. I'd hold off on assumptions until she has a chance to prove it. Eye will determine where she stands in this pack of ladies.

Nate Quarry probably thought he was going to get another shot at the MW belt. Can't fault her for keeping her goals high and looking to improve. I wouldn't mount the war wagon but I'll give her credit for not packing it in.

Her path to the title reminded me of Dan Hardy's when he faced GSP. Any other route would have tripped him up for sure.

This was all Right Place Right Time. And they made themselves and UFC a LOT of money.

Agreed. My post came off a little too harsh I realize in hindsight. Shouldn't knock a fighter for having confidence in themselves. Realistically, it's a really tough road back to a rematch but it's not impossible.

Time for Fester to open women's 125 where everyone Ronda has defeated will go.
