I think dude needs a new camp while he is at it. ATT for over a decade, time to branch out and change perspectives. In MMA athletes either evolve or they passed.

He would be a massive lightweight. How would his body handle the massive cut without the IVs? Something he should really consider.

Good move. Cannot see him beating the killers of 170. It's funny how he used to really struggle to make 170 back in the day. He seems to have dropped muscle over the years and gotten his diet in order so that's a good sign.

Plenty of tough dudes to deal with at 155 too. But I think it's a smart move for him... That is if the weight cut is not too brutal.

Yeah there is no way in hell he makes it imo. I think he will miss weight every time unless he literally drops another huge percentage of muscle. I mean this isn't boxing where a drop down or move up in weight is only like 5 pounds. Where talking FIFTEEN pounds from a guy who barely could even make 170 in his physical prime.

Now in the later stages of his career he's moving down? Even if by some miracle he makes the weight, I think it will drastically effect his performance. I can't see him having any kind of cardio or even the strength after the cut.

He better just stick to doing calisthenics from here on out if he's going to try and make 155.

hahahaha...this. I think he's still hallucinating from his last weight cut. Or maybe it's like some women say about pregnancy...you go through it again because you forget how bad it was the first time.

He missed weight at 170 before. And he's old, both in miles and past his prime. No way in hell.

While he's at it Matt Hughes should make a comeback at 155 lbs

Will be cool to see him at 155. I hope he makes it there in a healthy manner.

This is an idea, he hasn't failed at this until he has.

Dropping to a tougher weight class is always dumb. They say the last place to rehydrate is the fluid surrounding your brain. Having had brain surgery I think makes Thiago's idea an even more silly one.
