In what will be just his third promotional outing, Joseph Duffy is slated to face fellow lightweight Dustin Poirier in a headlining bout for the UFC’s fall return to Ireland.

Duffy (14-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC), who recently defeated Ivan Jorge via first-round submission at UFC Fight Night 72 in Glasgow, has been matched with Poirier (18-4 MMA, 10-3 UFC) in the main event of UFC Fight Night 77, which takes place at Dublin’s 3Arena on Oct. 24. The entire card is expected to stream on UFC Fight Pass.

It's a good fight don't get me wrong but we always seem to get the short end of the stick for UFC cards.

They are definitely shitting on you guys, and all of us really. Two lightweights, who are probably unranked at 155lbs, and haven't beaten anyone in the Top 15, are headlining this card. Who do they get to co-main, TUF losers?

On the bright side, a lot of these lower key cards tend to be more exciting.

Should be a co main.

Not gonna say anything cause. Just means a mother big fight for a ppv I hope if they keep doing mediocre main events for fight night cards

Joe Duffy is legitness. I know he hasn't built a name for himself yet but this should be a most excellent scrap.

Fight makes sense for Dublin too as Duffy already beat McGreggor and is the real king of Ireland.

I like it. Solid fight. Is this a fight pass card? Must be.

Mark my words. Dustin's little pea head will withstand duffy's initial onslaught then he will finish the Irishman in the 2nd or 3rd.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the playground is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no props, and may the mods have mercy on your soul.

This fight could easily be on any main card on a PPV. Hell, I'll enjoy watching this for free!!! :)

I like the fight and the majority of the Irish and British I've heard from are happy to have it as their headliner. I personally wouldn't want it headlining a card I'm attending (which would be in North America) but I understand it being a FN headliner in Ireland and them being happy with it which is what counts.
