Ronda Rousey needed 96 seconds to beat all her last three opponents combined, but believes her role in the sport is much bigger that people might think.

I dont agree with her actually.

I will also say that at this point, just as many if not more, people watch just to see her lose.

It doesn't matter why they tune in. Just that they do.

Right now I'd say she's at worst the 2nd best draw in the sport behind Jones, and the majority of people tuning into his fights also want him to lose.

Agree with this. Cain if he'd stayed healthy could maybe get there, but he's not proven it yet.

I wasn't arguing the point. Just was sharing that she is strongly disliked by just as many if not more people who actually like her

She may be she definitely is consistent in fighting a lot.
Wish injured champs like Weidman and Cain would stay healthy

If she isn't the top draw, she is real close. Seems like she is the one fighter most casuals are talking about/know, and her threads seem to blow up here more most threads these days.

I never understood why she is getting so much hate. She keeps it the fuck real, which is an admirable and rare trait these days.

If true then this is indeed a sad day for the sport.

The UFC would not have thrown the bank at Lesnar in desperation for PPV dollars if Rousey was as big a draw as she thinks. She may be the biggest draw of lighter weight fighters - 155 or less, but I would guess the following fighters probably draw better than Rousey:
- Jones
- Wiedman
- Nick Diaz
- Cain

She just drew roughly the same PPV number as Silva/Diaz, against Zingano, and with zero undercard.

If you give her an opponent the equivalent of Cormier or Diaz (Cyborg, Carano) she'd break a million buys.

The casuals care WAY more about her than anybody else. That's the difference.

Jones stirs up the base, Rousey stirs up everyone. Everything being equal, she's the biggest draw UFC has.

I won't pay to see women fight in the main event.

She's the biggest casual, non mma fan draw. But notice the only big PPV cards she was on, her fight was playing second fiddle to the real MMA fan draws.
