Just goes to show how far behind the curve the UFC is.

How many people are downloading events after the fact like this guy was uploading?

I guess this is all they can do since they can't seem to stop people from streaming their product live.

I am so happy the UFC found him/her/them. Pirating is illegal and should be held to the full extent of the law. Buy PPVs and support the product and the fighters.

This sucks. I mean if they stack the cards like they have recently and they stay intact injury free somewhat then I don't think buying PPVs or going out to watch one would be a problem. It just when a card goes to shiiit how do you expect us to pay for it?

That's too bad. Loss for everyone and a win for the billionaires.

Kinda sounds like troll bait so I shouldn't bite but....

The UFC makes billions and don't pay their fighters shit. I'm not sure how the UFC making more money will equate to better fighter compensation because with the exception of the elite and big draw fighters like Lesnar fighters still don't get paid shit. The UFC could stop all the pirating in the world and start making trillions and Jesse Ronson will still be making $8,000 a fight. The only difference will be the amount of zeros Dana reads on his bank statement.

If you ran the UFC, how much would you pay bottom level fighters such as Jesse Ronson?

Cops have their job, pirates have theirs. It's hard for me to feel to much sympathy for any of the parties involved.

dk who that is but a bottom feeder could easilly take home a 5k/5k based on the UFC's take. 15k per under card fight isn't much to pay when you've developed a model to show undercards on tv.

and it is trolling. It has to be.

If it was UFC 181 let's say, I'd pay the opening fight pass fighters $56,000 each and bonus if the winner finished and an additional incremental bonus depending on what round the win took place in. My starting point would be a minimum of 40% of all generated revenue (individual gate, individual ppv buys, formula merch, formula and individual adverts, formula fightpass subs, etc.,) going where it matters, the fighters, that means transparency. If UFC 181 after cost generated $14,000,000 revenue (as a 50% of profit rough estimate), then $5,600,000 (40%) goes to the fighters with the two guys in the championship fight taking at least 15% of that total ($840,000) and the opening bout taking 2%, or $112,000 together. The 10 fights between them get paid downward on a sliding scale (12%, 11%, 10%, 9%, 8% etc.,). The structure of performances bonuses also changes. Every fighter who wins is eligible for a bonus based on finishing. A win by Knockout or submission equals an automatic 10% increase to the individual fighters guaranteed cut. Add an additional 5% if it is in the 2nd and 10% if it is in the first.

Good breakdown. Could use a minor tweak here or there, but overall a definite step in the right direction. Props

The biggest tweak or issue to focus on with that proposal is how to assign monetary values to non ppv cards. So you enter more formulaic processes determining that value.
