DALLAS -- Former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks used a steady diet of takedowns and ground and pound to drown Matt Brown for three rounds and score a much-needed decision win on Saturday night at UFC 185. But despite the lopsided nature of the fight, Hendricks' first reaction was to criticize his own performance as lackluster, and in that, UFC President Dana White seemed to agree.

Thought it was a good win against a really good fighter. Dana wanted Overeem to show more killer instinct as well. The guy wants fighters to go put their careers and lives on the line for his bottom line. The UFC is starting to wear thin on me. Both guys did what they needed to win their fights. You want fire works thenake match ups that will deliver said fireworks. Matt browns only chance at winning was on the feet. Jonny was smart to go to the floor. Matt did a great job at minimizing the damage he took. What a dick thing to say IMO sounds like a sherdog noob when he starts this shit.

I didn't love it either. Probably because I hated watching brown look like an amateur in the wrestling department.

Johnny failed to knock out a guy that has never been knocked out before. What a piece of shit.

Didn't love it either. Holding the guy down and doing zero GnP, submission attempts, or even some transitions, is boring.

However, it takes two to fight, and Brown looked like a little kid who had no idea what to do when the fight hit the ground.

Did you see Reem couldn't put away Big Country? What a piece of shit. If me and Dana were out there we would be putting these bitches to bed.

Honestly if it was me fighting Matt Brown I would have just knocked him out with something super cool. Dana knows what I'm talking about.

It was a great high level performance. Dana's greed will always keep him a disingenuous noob.

Yeah it was a high level fight. Brown was defending well and stopping a lot of Hendricks strikes on the ground.

Not a Hendricks fan. The guy was crying like a b#%ק about GSP wrestling. And then guess what he had to wrestle Robbie in the 1st fight in order to win the 5th.

Tried humping Robbie the 2nd fight and that didn't work and then wrestles Brown.

Hendricks is a hypocrite and I can't stand him. Hopefully Rory Ko's him when they eventually fight.

Rory is more exciting than Hendricks. Who would have thought.

Hendricks made the fight boring. Got the win, but not impressive.

Dos Anjos, similar plan, better execution. Rafael was impressive. That's how you do it.

It may have been boring to some. I thought it was a good approach against brown and it showed to be very effective.

I guess some people are only happy if somebody is bleeding or gets hurt or rocked.

I thought Hendricks would have done better against Brown. I guess I may have underestimated Brown like a lot of other people have done.

Who gives a Fuck if Dana liked it, it's what he needed to do to win. It was a smart game plan and it got him the win. I don't mind it as long as it's not an ongoing thing. Hell, I don't even mind it if it IS ongoing. You don't like it, then stop it.

It's almost impossible to get a sub in 5 minutes when the guy on top of you only wants to stall.

It's the great secret that wrestlers figured out to beat guys with better ground games.

"Shit, you mean if I just lay on top of him and turtle the refs will give me the win? Ha! Too bad they didn't have shit judges and artificial time restrictions back when Royce Gracie was fighting?!?"
