As much as I like him.
One fight in over three years, his last fight didn't go past one minute, need to see more before title shot.

Dude, did you miss his KO of Brennan Ward? It too was less than a minute but McCrory is starting to roll! Kendall Grove just has the bigger name I think from his TUF/UFC days. I know organizations need to do that, it adds legitimacy to their Champs or replaces the Champ with a fan friendly and familiar face. Give McCrory 1 more quick finish like his last two and with that division he should be in there.

I was not at all supporting Grove or Bellator picking him, I so not agree with that. I just did not thnk McCrory deserved a shot just yet, but than again Grove doesn't deserve it either. lol

Not the strongest fight or the best but this is a case of no one else available and/or no clear contenders. Shlemenko just fought two weeks ago, McCrory just fought on Friday, and Schilling & Carvalho aren't scheduled to fight each other until April

Not a bad match-up for Halsey. I kind of asked myself, "Why Grove?" Both have quick sub wins over decent competition. Both fighters were winning underdogs in there last fights. I think it could turn out to be a pretty good fight. People don't really know Halsey but Grove has been around for a while and will help the draw for the fight.
I like McCrory. He came back, after a few years away, and whipped out two 1st round wins. Not only two 1st round wins, but a KO and a sub win. I could see an argument for McCrory. I think McCrory will get the winner. In that time Bellator will give him more Main Card exposure and hopefully build him up a bit. Like Halsey, he is relatively unknown to the mainstream fans.

Most likely just a stay busy fight. I expect Schlemenko to get a rematch here soon.
