Alexander Shlemenko secured career win No. 50, defended his Bellator MMA middleweight title for the third time, and extended his winning streak to 13 fights with a dazzling performance in tonight’s Bellator 114 headliner.

Shlemenko is so entertaining. He always gets himself into a little trouble in his fights but he always comes back in a big way. I'd love to see him make his way to the ufc but Bellator is going to hold on to him for as long as they can.

I thought the same but what I tend to believe is that the guy who comes out like a bat out of hell had better win in the first. By the second round his footwork went from pep to plod. I thought he would get decisioned but the was a quick hard choke. Fun fight though, he may be my hometown by but I will never enjoy a des green fight...he has zero inclination to end the fight and his takedowns and ground game are both mediocre against mediocre competition.

Can we officially give Shlemenko the can-smasher belt?
