UFC middleweight star Michael Bisping had surgery to correct a detached retina and now will be out of action for four to six months.

6 months!
Kind of reminds me of Belcher's injury...only I think Bisping pisses more people off so no one except the Brits care. I personally like the guy, just don't like watching him fight much as he tends to win in a way that irritates. He is a cardio fiend that out kickboxes his opponents without finishing, it would be like a Diaz that couldn't knock a dude out.

There was a time when I absolutely could not stand bisping, but now i actually like the guy... And his high pace style.

Kind of ironic how he destroyed belcher's eye in their last fight and now bisping himself has an eye injury. Hope he has a speedy recovery and gets a high level guy when he gets back. Maybe winner of Munoz vs machida would be cool.

Actually would love to see how he would do against machida !

Detatched retinas are a bitch. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and can fight again. I don't know if he would still fight if his vision didn't return.

Machida/Bisping would be an awesome tactical fight

That sucks, for any fighter, but Bisping was one of only 4 Brits who had a chance of winning at this event in my opinion, that's now down to 3 in my eyes, in what could be a very bad night for British fighters
