SAN JOSE, Calif. – Lightweight Gesias "JZ" Cavalcante was sure he'd done enough to earn a decision victory over Josh Thomson at this past Saturday's "Strikeforce: Diaz vs. Noons 2" event.

Instead, Thomson earned a unanimous-decision victory, and though two judges scored it 29-28, one judge surprisingly gave him all three rounds.

"When they said 30-27, I said, 'Come on, that's complete bull [expletive],'" Cavalcante told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) afterward.

"Everybody keeps telling me I won," he added. "I feel like I won the first and the third round. But I have to watch the tape."

I had it 29-28 for JZ but could have seen it 29-28 for the punk but 30-27 just another in a long list of bad score cards.

I felt Josh won that fight but 30-27 was BS.

I picked Josh to win and he was also in my parlay that I won, so I was happy that he won only for that reason. With that being said, I thought he lost the fight. I had it scored 29-28 for JZ. The only round in question was the first. It was close with both guys getting close submissions, but I feel JZ dominated a larger portion of the round and he also rocked Josh before the sub attempt which I think solidifies him as the round winner. 30-27 is just plain out wrong and the judge needs to be drug tested. I hope JZ comes back strong and gets back to his old self and dominating performances.

It was just a really close fight. There has to be a loser in modern day MMA even if noone really even won the fight.

No one loses in a draw. That's what this fight should have been

JZ clearly won the first and third round. Worst robbery since Dunham vs. Sherk... Oh wait, this has been just two weeks. What the hell has to happen that comissions finally change this bad judging system, dammit? And when will judges start being educated? I mean, if most fans can see it, why they can't??

i gave josh the 1rst because the round ended with him in side control with an arm triangle that looked to me like JZ was not going to get out of. I had Thomson winning the fight 29-28.
