he would probably do better than he does at welterweight, but im pretty sure that even he said that was never going to go back to lightweight

i dont think Serra can hang with the big dogs at either weight. I think he would be a gate keeper or somewhere in the 10 through 7 rankings at best

I third that idea never thought Serra was good, let alone top 10

i love serra but i would have to see him more to see how he will do. fighters change over the years. he looked good on the show but that was against a different cal of fighters. and gsp is just gsp. tough

he said he wouldnt go back which is fine with me. LW is my fav division, and i think alot of the top dogs could take him. (which sucks cause i like serra) i agree with the rest, that he should fight/retire hughes, then do what he does best coach/train.

If they fianally get away from letting the belts be tied up by tuf coaches, i wouldnt mind seeing him coach or back up coach another season

Serra would be a top 5 lightweight imo. he would be leaner and quicker and his power would be much more dangerous at 155 than 170. i think 155 is serra's perfect weight and he would get a title shot down the line.

keep in mind, if Serra beats Hughes, he SHOULD be the #1 contender. Seeing how he KO'd the Champ, then lost but then beat the guy he beat to be champ.

i dunno its confusing, but if he wins, I would give him another shot at GSP before Alves does. just MY opinion tho.
