Ive just been reading comments about the ufc game trailor and screen shots on a game website, and some of the comments are awesome.

"Personally, this looks much more interesting than the actual sport.

Whenever I watch UFC on TV, it's always just two guys just holding each other for the entire duration of the match.

I always tune in to see if I can see one of the "brutal matches" they always advertise, but nope, it's always soft-core gay porn. =/ "

Just one of many examples.

Stupid nerds.

It really is annoying where I live. I think I am the only MMA fan within 20 miles lol. I always invite friends over to watch the ppvs and half are disguisted and say it is barbaric and the other half won't shut up about how they could beat a guy on there up or how they are "So pumped" and want to be in a fight. I have tried to chose ppl carefully now when having ppl come to watch the ppvs and I think Goldberg is actually helpful in shuting them up. Everytime he says something stupid, I can laugh and the other ppl there can join in like they knew it was a stupid comment.

Overall, I stay quiet when hereing most of the comments from friends as I don;t want to turn them off from the sport and make them think that its an exclusive thing but I really don;t mind laughing when ever a guys ego gets big enough to where they are saying they can beat any professional fighter. Keep in mind none of these guys are drinking while saying this BS.

watching Liddell/Ortiz II...

someone trying to tell me that he heard the event was going to make $3mil just from ppv. i told him it would be makin a heck of a lot more than that and he got offended like i was callin him a liar. i just said that he heard wrong cuz if you pay about $40 for each ppv and they were expecting well over 500,000 buys then thats $20mil right there. sorry dude but $3mil aint shit for UFC ppv.

Not something said exactly, but I got 10-1 odds on Rampage when he fought Chuck Liddell at a Buffalo Wild Wings. Easiest 100 bucks I ever made.

Hey, I've gotta say this is another good one.... "if bruce lee was in mma he'd kill everyone." sure guys... i guess chuck norris would kill the world with a roundhouse kick too eh?

OK why is everyone so down on Bruce Lee.. First off he was one of the first fighters to publicly admit he was taking techniques from different styles ( including 33 techniques for ground fighting) 2ndly the man trained simply to win.. Competition wise all he had were point matches which he rarely ever entered cause most of his moves were not allowed... 3rd If MMA was around how it is now and Bruce was invovled.. He would more then likely be one of the top guys as there is not a fighter alive who trained as hard or seriously as he did... I am not saying he would win every fight but more then likely he'd have a record compareable to Fedors... He also would have worked hard on ground techniques if he was going to compete... When it came to training bruce was always looking for ways to push himself...

As for chuck I am nclined to agree... but again... MMA was not around when he was growing up he probaly would ahve done well if it was...

AS for the topic... I had a friend arguing over how effective an arm bar could really be... I got him to agree that ones legs are stronger then ones arms... then I had him let me put a simple arm lock on him just in a standing position and I had him tapping out and I did not even apply much preassure... He now wants to learn Jits when I have my school open.

It's not that everyone is down on Bruce Lee,it's more they are down on the "people" who think he is the toughest guy,and take him out of the 70's and he would beat any MMA guy.On defend.net their was a guy who actualy was arguing Lee could beat fictional super heroes (The Hulk) a few years back.

Lee is a legend, but some people just assume he had no weaknesses and think he's superman. It's like the whole Chuck Norris thing, only people take it to heart.

Ok Yea I can see that point... Thats why I always bring up the fact of how bruce trained.... if he were alive today he'd hve one of the best stand up games alsot without a doubt.. his speed and power are well known... I think his biggest would be in take down defense..true he can move quckly and the way he trained he would train hard to overcome this and I think he would be good on the ground.. certinaly a top fighter.. if you take him as he was at face value.. not taking how he trained into consideration He would get owned on the ground.. his stand up would still be one of the best in the game.. He knew the ground was not his strong point he did though add 33 different ground techniques to his arsenal before he died.. though I think it was more an afterthought at that point.. but he was also working with various grapplers of the time to improve them.. He was I think still in the learning phase of his ground game and ver really got to develope it.

as forBJ not being able to take bruce down... I think he might be one of the few who could.. Stand up I would give it to Lee.. though I think BJ is quick enough to get in on bruce..

Mike Goldberg's constant Chuck Liddell References

After Wanderlei beat Jardine-"The Iceman is back to his winning way!"

During a lot of fights-"A right hook ala Chuck Liddell"

etc.
