Trigg Added To DREAM 2

UFC veteran Frank Trigg is among several more fighters & fights announced today for the upcoming DREAM 2 event in Japan. Trigg will take on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion Ronaldo Jacare.

Shaping up pretty well.

It and the other added fights do help give it more star power, more names familiar to both American and Japanese MMA fans.

Edit: The MW tourney now appears to be set. All that seems to be left is an opponent for Akiyama.

DREAM = PRIDE...at least at this rate

2 of my favorite divisions...LW and MW...look like they have a lot of talent here so i am stoked for their next few events.

Quite the opposite for me.

Holy crap this is an awesome fight. Jacare is a beast on the ground, Trigg has to keep this standing; there's almost no way he can win using his wrestling.

Easily my most anticipated fight at Dream 2. I cant wait to see this one.

very close. i have him at 11-12 personally (although i have Cung Le at 10 so take it for what it's worth). I am a huge Jacare fan (hence the name) and i am very interested to see how Jacare does against Trigg. i will be rooting for my JJ champion although i am expecting a great fight. hopefully Trigg isn't able to keep this standing.

I agree. Trigg usually uses his wrestling, but in this fight his wrestling won't help him. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Jacare takes Trigg down at will considering Jacare has a black belt in Judo as well as BJJ.

Jacare is more explosive and has the huge advantage on the ground IMO.

Haha, well that's not exactly "hatin" I see Trigg losing this one, personally. In saying that I give props to baldilocks with his fancy little napkin hangin out of his shirt pocket.

Best show on TV is the Pride reruns with he and Jay Glazer. Those two crack me up

Dream is awsome thus far. FEG's money with DSE's showman ship and match making is great through two events.

I hope Trigg gets a nice KO! He could use a W or 2, he should get it.

I'm always down with a Tournament but Trigg signing on has peaked my interest in what was a fairly weak line-up of fighters. Not YAMMA weak but Kang should've dominated. Now it looks like a good Japanese line-up with a few standout fighters just like their LW tourny.

yeah, i'm getting excited too. I never knew that jacare was doing mma... this oughta be fun to watch
