"The reality is there is not place for me in this sport ... I dont know the business sense, I don't know what I am doing, these people just take advantage of you ... the strong survive don't even work anymore, I can't up and mollywop someone ... it's retarded how many people steal from me ... I've been coachless, been getting worse each time ..."

Maybe if Jens hadn't priced himself out of the UFC in 2002 he wouldn't be in this situation.

It's nice to see Pulver blaming everyone but himself for the recent rash of defeats.

I feel bad for the guy. He comes from a really rough background to begin with, and to have people take advantage of him so much, it sucks. I know there's some blame that he needs to put on himself, but at the same time I believe him when he says people have been stealing from him.

Only a doctor should be able to recommend retirement. Jens should go out on his on terms...not because the internet warriors out there think he should.

Jens is rapidly running out of own terms to go out on.

It's still none of our business.

I think he could make decent money as a coach at a small MMA gym. He probably just isn't much of a buisness man. I don't think he priced him self out of the UFC, he dropped to featherweight and went to the WEC (where the paychecks are much smaller). There's sill a place for him in MMA it just may not be in the cage/ring.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the comment about pricing himself out of the UFC was in reference to him winning the LW title back in '01, defending it against Hallman and Penn and basically believing he was worth more than the UFC was willing to offer when contract talks started...so he left.

I'm no doctor, but it's not hard to diagnose Jens with Manic Depression or Bi-Polar or some sort of chemical imbalance from afar. If you have him on FB or twitter, you'd know what I mean. Or just seen/read his interviews.

Read about the way he treated Tim Sylvia when Jens was on top and Tim was coming up, can hardly feel sorry for him.

That being said, hopefully somebody somewhere will reach out and help the guy before it's too late.

Manic depression or bipolar usually equates to some baby who needs attention.

He would make for a great MMA Judge.

I think You're right but he did come back for TUF 5 and fight Penn before going to 145, I think his 8 or 9 strait losses and lack of ground game have more to do with his current predicament than anything else.
